Alleys in Miami

May 25th, 2011

This goes without saying, but I’m going to say it anyway… I looovveee my clients.

On Friday of last week, I was driving through South Miami and …ok, pause. For those of you who live here, can I just get an amen? Isn’t that city just the greatest?! Every time I’m there, I get all schoolgirl crush on it. I’ve discovered the sweetest nooks and crannies, greatest restaurants, and of course, the best shopping. And! did! I! mention! the! alleys?!? No need to reach for the eye drops…you read correct… alleys. As in grungy-urban-insane-graffiti-walls-beautiful-light, alleys. Which brings me back to the beginning of this post. I drove past an alley in the Design District of Miami and pulled a real Knight-Rider-would-be-proud-of-me move. Yes, I just quoted an 80′s show and yes, I’m feeling way old right about now.

Anyway, I snapped a photo of an amazing graffiti wall and immediately posted it on my facebook and twitter account. Within hours, the couple that I was shooting the next day contacted me about shooting their engagement photos in Miami–wait for it–at the graffiti wall. And that my friends, is one of the many reasons why I loooveee my clients.

Here’s the original photo I took with my beloved Android…

And here’s my couple the next day looking ahh-mazing…

I’ve shot here, too. They were for some artsy ballet photos. I am in LOVE with the Design District. ;)
