Installing Industrial Outdoor Ceiling Fans

Nov 11th

Industrial outdoor ceiling fans – Function is the most important starting point when choosing the right ceiling fan. Of course, the main feature is to cool, but to get the most out of its ceiling fan, it may be good to have a look at a few more things. We will also clarify that a fan does not actually cool the air. An air conditioner cools (or warms up) air while a fan only moves and redistributes air. If your tires have a solid construction roof, consider adding an outdoor ceiling fan. Depending on your level of electrical skills, you may be able to complete or part of this project. It is easy to install outdoor ceiling fans, but if electrical wiring is not already in place, you may want to hire an electrician to complete that part of the project.

Select a fan that is specific for outdoor use. Industrial outdoor ceiling fans would have sealed components that prevent moisture from getting into them. Make sure to get the right size for the area you are trying to cool. Install electrical wiring, appliance and bottom plate. Do not hesitate to hire an electrician for this part of the job. Fit the fan blades according to the instructions on the packaging. Usually you assemble the blades to the mounting brackets first. Most fans come with two color sheets so choose which color you want to display.

Prepare the fan motor unit as instructed. This includes preparing the base plate for a direct mount or connecting the down bars for a dropped bracket. Make sure the power is turned off. Hang the ceiling fan engine assembly to the base plate. Wire the fan to the electrical system. Turn on power again and test all connections to ensure they are correct. Follow all safety precautions to complete this step. Attach the blades to the engine. Be sure to tighten all screws. Some fans have you performed this step earlier, so be sure to follow the instructions for your industrial outdoor ceiling fans. Put light kit if you brought your fan. Also install all glass light covers as well as incandescent lamps.
